How we started

Lighthouse Christian Academy was founded in 1999.  Our President and Founder, Pastor Kevin Kerr and our Executive Director and Co Founder, Dianne Kerr, had the vision for a place in Key West where children could be not only be cared for but also taught in a school where excellence is the norm.

 

In September 1999 we opened our doors and have been full steam ahead ever since! 

 

Lighthouse Christian Academy is also a way for Covenant Word Church to make an impact in the community by offering quality childcare and training where it is so badly needed.  In fact, even our front page on this website says that Lighthouse Christian Academy is a ministry of Covenant Word Church.
